Oops! I totally forgot to post about an awesome swap I did with some other bloggers! The theme for the swap was 8-Bit (Nintendo). It was such a blast! My package came from Coty from The Source and he sent me some amazing things:

A beautiful purples/blues/pinks lace scarf, a green cabled DS case with places for games, the coolest little Final Fantasy Black Mage cloth, Zelda fingerless gloves (with glow in the dark Tri-Force!), two hanks of hand died yarn, and 3 types of Pocky and rice candy. What a great package!!

Thanks again Coty!

My package was for Jinxa from Knitting Balrog. I seem to have lost the pictures I took of her package before I sent if off, but here's a picture she took:

A pink Princess Shawl, an issue of Simply Knitting Magazine with double pointed needles and point holders, a pink/orange/yellow hank of yarn (it reminded me of cotton candy, which I LOVE, so I had to buy it xD), Mario themed buttons, a Princess Peach "damn-it" doll, and a grocery bag made out of recycled platic bags (not pictured).

I had so much fun doing this swap, I am getting another organized for later on this month!

Also! I added a new neckwarmer to my Etsy shop:

It's crocheted! Can you believe it? This is actually the second one I crocheted. With my lack of luck in crocheting anything, I was SO happy that these worked so well. I just love the colors in this one.

OH! And speaking of my Etsy Shop, I dropped the prices on all my items. Check it out! :D

Mood: Headache-y
Listening: Owl City, Swimming With Dolphins, and Ayumi Hamasaki on random.
Watching: Almost done watching the second season of Babylon 5, which I am sad about because Hulu doesn't have any more season of it.
Knitting: Planning out a basketweave stitch baby blanket. It's turning out more difficult than I imagined.

Hi! For the past few weeks I have devoted myself to getting my special orders done and today I finished the third blanket. The other two have already been picked up, and I totally forgot to take pictures of them. I crocheted a cute boarder around it a cute border around the third one, but- of course, forget to take pictures. This was actually my third (or forth) attempt at this blanket. Before I was trying a different stitch pattern, but it just wasn't cooperating. I am happy I chose this one. :D

Now that I am finally done with the blankets, I can work on something for ME! Well actually, I plan on working on a quite a few things for my little sister who is going off to college next month. There are all these projects that I want to make and I get so excited thinking of them. Now I just need to get to work on them!

So off I go! Have an excellent night!

Mood: Happy happy happy.
Listening: Been listening to a ton of Owl City and Swimming With Dolphins. Pretty electric pop music.
Drinking: Milk because I can. My DR. asked me to take a few weeks off drinking it as it might be making my alergies worse. Turns out it's not - yay!
Watching: Aaron<3 play Mahjong on the computer. Not the matching game, but REAL Mahjong. xD

I have been a busy little bee these last few weeks! Two weeks ago my friend bought the cute 2nd hand children's clothing store a few doors down from where I work and asked me to knit baby blankets for her to sell there. I'm so excited for this opportunity to sell my knitted items locally! Last week I brought in three blankets:

The second two are acrylic washed with hair conditioner (for super softness), and the first one is cotton. I'm working on a 4th one, but have run out of yarn and Fred Meyer doesn't restock yarn as often as I'd like.

Two days after I brought in the blankets, Emma (my friend), called me and let me know that a lady was interested in special ordering two blankets from me! So I'm working on the first of the two blankets now, (they're like the white one but in blue and light blue). A few days later, my sister-in-law special ordered a blanket from me as well.

It is finished but needs a good second blocking because the first blocking didn't do the job. But it's acrylic so I'm not expecting too much. What I might end up doing it running a ribbon through it to hide it's odd shape.

Off I go to knit more!!

Mood: Excellent
Drinking: Yummy Long Hammer
Eating: In 10 Mins I'll be eating homemade breadsticks *mmmmmm*
Listening: The Cure
Reading: Still reading "The Wizard's First Rule"

Well, I finally finished the lace afghan I have been working on. Took quite a bit longer than I anticipated, but that's no matter. The finished product looks great so I am happy.

The ends have yet to be weaved in but *shhh* that's ok.

A quick post is all I have time for tonight. Off I go to go do EA Sports Active on the Wii.

Listening: ELO - Telephone Line
Watching: WWE Raw *shock I know!*

FIRST OFF! Happy (late) birthday Eve~!

SECOND OFF! If you check under the Shout Box over there on the left, you will find a widget that shows items in my Etsy shop. I think it's just about the coolest thing.

Another new mini shawl was added to the shop:

I LOVE chunky garter stitch with a passion. It's probably my most favorite thing about knitting. This mini shawl turned out so soft and cuddly!

I made something soft and snuggly for myself- gold toed slippers:

Made with the left overs from the hats for Aunt Gloria.

I am not the only one who has been finishing projects- my Dad has recently finished a pretty amazing project he's been working on this year: a tear drop trailer.

He bought a vintage trailer from the 1950's tore it apart and rebuilt it with new materials. Pretty effing amazing!

There aren't any other pictures, but he built a neat little "galley" with drawers and cabinets. There's surround sound inside, lights, and a super super soft mattress. We're all pretty excited over it.

While digging through pictures, I found this cute one of Rinoa-

She's thinking "OMGSH this is embarrassing..." Hahaha!

That's all for now. I'm off to get lunch and buy yarn! Yay~!

Mood: Pretty awesome!
Drinking: Yummy Starbucks
Crafting: A SUPERAMAZINGAWESOMELYCOOL project. I've never made anything like it before. I'll post pictures after the Swap.

Today is a happy knitting day; the shawl I am working on is purple, the needles I'm using are purple, and the stitchmarker is purple. How happy! Believe it or not, but that was a total coincidence.

The hats for Aunt Gloria turned out super cute!

Made w/Vanna's Choice yarn in "Linen" color and two cute vintage-y buttons

More Vanna's Choice, this time in Beige, with two more vintage-y buttons.

Oh! And I added a new shawl to my Etsy shop:

Well I am going to grab my book since there aren't any customers in the store, and get working on my shawl and read.

Mood: Pretty darn good
Listening: Ayumi Hamasaki's new album. So so good!
Reading: Wizards's First Rule- still. So good!
Knitting: Gabriel's Wings and it's turning out great!!

Last night my MIL called me and told me about this hour and a half conversation she had with her 84 (86? Maybe? I forget) year old Aunt Gloria. Her husband passed away recently and she has since started collecting chairs. (He wasn't a huge fan of chairs.) She now owns nine rocking chairs! My MIL and I got a kick out of that.

My MIL wants to send Aunt Gloria a package and she asked me to make her a few hats. I'm super excited to do this because she always has a hat on. In bed, at home, when she's out and about, etc. The pattern I picked out reminds me of a vintage/clapper-ish hat, but is also modern looking. And it has a big button on it. Here's the link to it over at I Dream of Knitting. Crossing my fingers Aunt Gloria will like it. :D

Last month my JoAnn's craft store closed, so I've started buying my Lions Brand yarn at Fred Meyers. Last night I left with a very happy amount of yarn.

I am SO off to knit and watch Merlin on Hulu. *waves*

Mood: Inspired
Listening: Ayumi Hamasaki's new album "NEXT LEVEL" It's awesome!
Watching: Merlin on Hulu
Drinking: Water. It's been SUPER HOT here (we're talking 90's and 100's outside) so I need to be drinking more water.

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends!

I have been holding off posting until I could finish up a few various projects and get some pictures of them. Last night I finished the light pink shawl I was working on, and this morning I took pictures. Yay for being productive!

This pattern is so much fun to knit! I have knit THREE of them already!!

This one is a smaller shawl as I didn't have a full hank to knit with. It still turned out awesome!

This is a wedding present for a gal my MIL knows. It's made with some yarn my Grammy gave me (yay for vintage yarn!) and has been washed in hair conditioner so it's super soft!

My sister's boyfriend asked me to knit him a little sweater for his puppy weener dog, Dipple-Gail. But since it's summer time, I'm going to knit her little scarves. Last night I made her a little scarf similar to the pink one I made for me. It'll look SUPER CUTE on her. I can't wait to make her more.

I am actually at work, sitting next to my boss, so I should get going.

Mood: GREAT!
Listening: to my boss drone on and on and on and on about stocks and options.
Reading: The Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind (the first book in the Legend of the Seeker series)

So... tired... Must be work or something. I'm mostly not a fan. Got a solid 9 hours of sleep last night, but woke up like I got no rest at all. Same with the night before. I would LOVE to hide in my bedroom for a day or two, and not have to worry about anything outside my room (like the phone, work, people, chores, etc). *sigh...*

My hubby bought me the most darling My Little Pony baby. Her name is Toola-Roola. She has a little diaper on, and a cute what hat to put on her head, and a small stack of blocks you can attach to her leg. *SO DARLING!* <3<3 I collect My Little Ponies

Started working on the Knit.1 lace blanket again. I'm about 60% done, which is great. While I knew knitting a blanket would be a big undertaking, I am getting close to being done with it. Hehe. It's turning out great so far, so I am super excited to be done so I can snuggle with it.

Time to get pj's on, I think. Nite!

Mood: blah, tired.
Listening: To music a friend recorded
Wearing: Wish I was wearing the most snuggly pajama's in the world
Eating: I should have stopped eating the super yummy Flips a while ago, but they're so good, I can't stop!
Drinking: I think the delicious IPA isn't helping my sleepiness...

Had a wonderful day today! It was SUPER productive and fun. Special thanks to my Dad for taking time out to help me take a run to the dump (we did some MASSIVE cleaning and purging at the store). Thank you thank you!

A friend from Seattle came into town so we hung out with him and his brother tonight. We bought Tech Decks and had a blast playing with them. Remember Tech Decks?!

Oh yeah! Mini skate boards!

Haven't touched one of these in years. So it was fun to mess around with them. We all decided to practice so next time he comes down, we can show off out new moves. Lol!

On the knitting front, I am working on a wedding present for a friend of my Mother-In-Law. A pretty light colored textured shawl:

Also plugging along with my blanket. I love how toasty I get when I'm curled up on the couch with a blanket, then I have the one I'm knitting on top of that. Mmmm nice!

It's late! Time to relax!

Mood: Happy!
Watching: My Honey play "Trash Panic" on the PS3.
Listening: Would LOVE to be listening to Bon Iver right now. We saw him at Sasquatch and he blew me away. Here's a video of one of my current faves: Skinny Love
