#086 // 10.06.08 My husband is the greatest person on Earth! He called me from work the other day saying that he found a game for me that I had to have. It's called Princess Debut. You play a Princess who has a month to get ready for the big ball. You have to find a dance partner, practice dancing, date the various princes who are in town preparing for the ball, and find that perfect outfit for the ball. Aaron says this game was made with me in mind. lol!Last night I played for a couple hours and got a little over two in-game weeks into the game and it's so cute! The guy I chose for my dance partner (and the guy I am dating too!) is Liam. He's super sweet and thoughtful and a great dancer... he seems to have a "sister complex" but that doesn't bother me too much. My character found a love letter in a bottle that washed up on the beach from one of the other princes. And one of the other princes was just dumped and he wants to be my partner. What am I to do? So many cute princes!! ![]() So I am going to go play it now! Mood: Psyched! ![]() Watching: We finished up Gurren Lagann last night. *sniffles* It was so good, I can't comment on it now cuz I haven't quite gotten over it yet. Listening: Aya Hirano - Hoshi no Kakera Playing: PRINCESS DEBUT! Seriously! It's just too cute! Plus it's a dating sim. How many dating sims are there outside of Japan? Very few, so I'm super happy to have one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Knitting: I finished that shawl, which turned out awesome! Now I'm working on my first pair of socks. They're knee-high socks and scrunch down to 80's style loose socks. <3 #085 // 10.02.08 When I got home last night, I was welcomed by an exciting email. It said that my Phoenix Wright PSP wallpapers have been put up on the biggest PW fansite, Court-Records.net. I'm super thrilled that my work got accepted!! /cheers!![]() Happy Thursday everyone! Mood: Sleepy ![]() Drinking: carmel macchiato #084 // 09.29.08 It has been years, it feels like, since I have made any desktop wallpapers. Today, I forced myself to make one. It is kinda hard to get back into make such BIG images after making smaller ones for a while. Despite the difficulty and how basic it is, I am pleased with the result. This wallpaper features Yoko from the awesome awesome anime Gurren Lagann. (Here's the opening video for the anime. *so epically cool!*)![]() Guess that's all for now! *waves* Mood: Great, slept really well curled up with Aaron. <3<3<3<3<3<3Watching: Nothing at the moment. Listening: Mika Nakashima's new album. #083 // 09.28.08 Last night, after finishing off the yarn I had for my shawl, I ran to JoAnn's to pick up a few more. While I was there, I was super surprised to find that Debbie Bliss started her own magazine! How cool is that?! I LOVE Debbie's patterns, but I can't afford to buy all of her books (infact, I only have one of her books ). Now I can get my Debbie Bliss fix in a cheap way. *YAY!!!*Mood: Cramping still?!@!Listening: Ai Otsuka - Kingya Hanabi (the video is about half way down the page) Watching: Star Trek- The Search for Spock (I figured I would give Harry Potter a break today lol!) #082 // 09.22.08 Hello everyone!! You wouldn't know it (because I haven't talked about it in about two months- lol!), but I have been knitting. PRODUCTIVELY- might I add. Which is the best way to knit. Looky looky and my productivity:![]() ![]() ![]() lol! Actually, the only reason I am blocking this, is because the collar was knitted separately from the rest of the cardigan and it was sticking up funny from the way that I sewed it on.Other than that, it turned out GREAT! It has short sleeves because, for the most part, it's still hot here, and I would not wear a full wool cardigan in summer weather. So, I kinda made up the sleeves as I knitted them. I am very happy with the way it turned out. *cheers!* ![]() While I was working on it at work, a customer asked me if I would make him some baby booties for commission. It was pretty cool to have someone like what I was doing enough to ask me to make them something. He said he would come back with the details. *crosses fingers* A long way back, I had hit a huge wall with knitting. There was nothing that looked fun to knit, nothing that was appropriate to knit since I live in a desert, and nothing I had yarn for despite all the TONS of skeins I had. So I figured I needed to "reset" and start a new. That's when I gave away all my yarn to the Good Will. And by all I mean, everything but the expensive stuff and a few random balls of cotton yarn. Since then, the kitchen/bath scrubbies and the cardigan are all that I have made. Because of this "reset", I feel like I need to use up the yarn I have left before I buy new yarn, and this causes me to hit a wall... gah! It's a vicious circle!! Last night I broke through that wall and feel super inspired to knit. The culprit of this new found inspiration is this:
It is the Candle Flame Shawl I found on Knitting Pattern Central. You would not believe how easy this pattern is!! A shawl is one of the last things I ever thought I would knit for myself (that and socks...) so to be this excited about it is surprising. The best part of this is I am using some of my old yarn- Lion Brand's Lion Cotton! There is another new addition to my knitting collection, Charmed Knits by Alison Hansel. The first thing I am going to knit out of it is the Ron Weasley Sweater for myself. ![]() ![]() :Now For A Change In Topic: In other news, the other night some friends came over and we had one of our infamous "Random Game Nights". What this entails is randomly picking a game and playing it for 15 minutes, then we'll rate that game against the other games played that night. It is a silly and fun thing we'll do every once in a while. Here is how our pile ended up:
The games ranked: Mega Man 2 (NES), Advance Wars (GBA), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV (Genesis), Duke Nukem 3D (PC), Doom (PC), Guitar Hero II (PS2), Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (XBOX), Kameo (360), Harvest Moon (PS1), Onimusha 3 (PS2), World Series Baseball 2K2 Demo (PS1), MLB Baseball 2K1 (DreamCast), Digital Devil Saga II (PS2), Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions (XBOX). Pretty crazy huh? We haven't done one of these in about two years so it was a lot of fun. (Even tho it might not make much sense. lol!) Wow, this entry took me two hours to write at work !! Oh well. Time to get going. Later!Mood: pretty good ![]() Watching: Last night I watched the last game at Yankee Stadium- I was moved to tears more than once because of all the celebrating. They had Babe Ruth's daughter come and throw the first pitch! *how sweet!* They even honored the BIG NAMES of the past and present, as well as their families. I am not a Derek Jetter fan, but he gave a really nice speech after the game. The whole thing was amazing! Listening: Aya Hirano's cd Riot Girl... good stuff! Drinking: Starbucks Iced Coffee with white mocha (yeah, I am one of those people Hahaha! Playing: Phoenix Wright 3 (DS) and tonight will be long night of FFXI! <3<3<3 #081 // 08.25.08 Oops. So while I was adding some new PSP wallpapers to my cpanel, I noticed that the amount of papers uploaded didn't match the number of papers I had actually added to the site. The last hour+ has been spent going over each paper to make sure that I added each one to the html. Good think only three were missing. In addition to these four missing papers, I also added two new ones I made tonight. The three new ones :![]() ![]() ![]() The missing ones :![]() ![]() ![]() The Wall-E one isn't added to the PSP Wallpaper because I don't have a 'movie' section yet, and I don't want to make one and have him be all by himself. So I'll just leave him on the main page for now. <3Time for bed kiddie-oh's! #080 // 08.23.08 Often I talk about being hungry or thinking about food. Today is one of those days where food/dinner is all that I am thinking about. For the past 51 minutes, I have been thinking about the different types of Ramen out there and what sort of ramen I should have for dinner. Should I have a yummy Cup of Noodles or if I should make ramen from 'scratch'. And from "scratch" I mean cooking a couple packets of Top Ramen and adding tons of healthy stuff to it.I like to add corn, onion, green onions (if I have them) and chicken bouillon paste to my Cup of Noodles. When I make ramen from scratch, I will add the chicken bouillon paste, onions, green onions, lots of bean sprouts (which are *SO GOOD* in ramen), and I'll fry up some thick cut chicken or turkey slices and put them on top. Some quick internet browsing led me to two really great ramen blogs: The Offical Ramen Homepage and The Ramen Blog. If you are a fan of ramen, I defiantly recommend checking those sites out. ![]() That's all for now! Mood: hungry!!! ![]() Watching: CNN political stuff ![]() Listening: Mega Man II intro song on the demo system over and over and over and over... #079 // 08.21.08 [EDIT] I added FIVE more Phoenix Wright PSP Wallpapers in the video games section and four Nana wallpapers to the anime & manga section. [/END EDIT]PICTURES! *yay* Here are some of the pics from our trip to the beach: ![]() (This was the guest cottage that Aaron and I stayed at; the rest of my family stayed in the main house- not pictured) ![]() (The view from our window: Netart's Bay and the ocean behind it) ![]() (Aaron kicking butt at boogie boarding; it's kinda like skateboarding but in very shallow water. *Go Aaron!*) ![]() (My brother-in-law, Aaron, me, and my sister all trying to boogie board) ![]() (Me and My mom; Hot babes on the cold beach. Lol!) ![]() (This is the beach where part of The Goonies was filmed. You know the part at the end, where the pirate ships comes out of the cave? Yeah, I was on that beach. *^_^*b) ![]() (A little pool with three starfish) ![]() (We found quite a few pools/puddles with starfish in them. We all liked this one) ![]() (Me and Aaron with the big rocks behind us <3<3) ![]() (Here is some of our "red gold" from crabbing) Mood: Chilly Looks like we brought the icky weather with us back from the coast.Watching: Nothing, actually, which is kinda weird. Listening: Utada Hikaru: Prisoner of Love Playing: Phoenix Wright (I didn't finish it last night...) #078 // 08.20.08 We JUST got back from our trip to the beach! The weather was pretty cloudy and wet, but so goes the beach in the Pacific Northwest. On the whole, the trip was great! The best part of it was when we went crabbing. We pretended to be bad asses like the guys on Deadliest Catch. Our crabbing consisted of two 4-person boats and four little pots and four rings to catch the crab in. 24 crab total were caught!! The seals know how to get bait and crab out of the rings so we saw quite a few of them. They're so cute, with their puppy dog eyes. *^^* Tons of pictures were took between the four or five cameras that were there. If I have time tomorrow, I'll upload some of the ones that we took on our camera.Time to get unpacking!! Mood: Exhausted ![]() Listening: Of Montreal's newest single PlayingPheonix Wright: Justice For All (I'm aiming to beat it tonight!) #077 // 08.15.08 *Yawn* So ready for bed! Before I do that, I wanted to hop on and add the new PSP wallpapers I made today. These ones are for the DS game series Phoenix Wright. Hope you like them!![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nite. Mood: tired... ![]() Watching: Countdown with Keith Olbermann Listening: Nine Inch Nails and Modwheelmood #076 // 08.12.08 So Aaron laughed through my last post and informed me that I used the word "awesome" four times, which in that short of a post is about three too many. Oops!Today's PSP Wallpaper is brought to you by the game, Jeanne D'Arc.
Level 5, the company who made Jeanne D'Arc, is known for having multiple endings in their games. Typically, you beat the game and watch the ending movie, then new areas in the game will be unlocked for you to go through. Once these new areas have been completed, you proceed to beat the game again and get a new and better ending. Having assumed this is the case with Jeanne, I finished the game and spent and extra, I don't know 10 or 12 hours trying to get the second ending, to only NOT get a new ending. Aaron and I have both searched on the interwebs for a second ending, but we haven't found one. It's kinda bummer that I spent so much extra time on the game for nothing, but I had a great time playing it so it's ok. Aaron started calling it "Jeanne D'Crack because I was constantly playing it. Lol! ![]() It is now 12:26 in the morning and it probably dropped below 85* outside not too long ago. So goes life in a desert right? I'm tired. And thirsty. I'm going to grab a drink of water and then head into bed to play Phoenix Wright until I fall asleep. xDMood: Good good good! I had an aweso... uh... excellent time on Final Fantasy XI tonight chatting with friends and playing!Listening: The new song that Aaron's recording. Watching: The cat sprint over my keyboard and infront of the monitor... >.> *silly kitty* Eating: Ugh, just the though of eating anything after 9pm makes me feel icky, but I felt like I needed just a small snack. Planter's has this new snack mix line called "Daybreak Blend" and the Berry Almond Trail Mix is SUPER YUMMY! *so full* *sobs* #075 // 08.11.08 This weekend was awesome! The Mariner's lost, but we were apart of the COOLEST waves ever! It went around six times! How cool is that?! We even got Yuniesky Betancourt bobble-heads. *cheers for free stuff!* The hot dogs were awesome, teams kept things exciting, and the company was awesome so the night rocked!I picked up a couple AWESOME magazines in the International District in Seattle. One is a make-up and hair guide (how-to's on getting certain looks, how to wear your mascara, eye liner, and eye shadow depending on your eye shape (THIS IS SO IMPORTANT! I could go on a tangent here, but I'll save that for another day... ![]() Time to get off work! Laters! Mood: Melting... it's hot here... 100*+ ![]() Watching: nothing atm. Listening: Modwheelmood. I can't stop listening to it. d*^_^*b #074 // 08.07.08 We're heading off to Seattle for the weekend- yay! Tonight we're going to see a Mariner's game, then tomorrow we're going to do some shopping in the International District and have dinner at Game Works, (where I will spend the night playing Love and Berry and collecting cards![]() ). Time to head out! We've got a 3 1/2 hour drive a head of us! *waves* Mood: Excited to get on the road! ![]() Watching: Gurren Lagann *so gooood!* Listening: Modwheelmood, a new band Aaron discovered. The singer (Alessandro Cortini) is the one of the band members for Nine Inch Nails. Super good- check them out. #073 // 08.05.08 Last night, on the way home from a friends house, I saw two raccoons in the road. I slowed down so they could cross, one ran across the street in the other direction, and the other one got down real low on the ground and just looked at me.    o.o   <-like that     I drove slowly away to make sure he could get away, *Which he did!*. I didn't realize how big and cute looking raccoons are. I don't think I have ever seen one in real-life before.![]() Yeah, that's all. lol! Mood: great ![]() Listening: Aaron write a new song Going to: play with my cat before bed. *^_^* Nite everyone! #072 // 08.04.08 The day is here! I finally have Photoshop! Paintshop Pro has been great for making my graphic art all these years, but it is a bit limiting- so I am thrilled to be able to use Photoshop now. I spent about an hour yesterday messing around with it and it's SO DIFFERENT!! (obviously...) So I'm going to spend some time reading tutorials and such online today and over the next few days so I can get the hang of it. The main thing I am having problems with is when making selected images float, as in, I can move the selected image around the item I am working on. Like I said, I haven't really read any tutorials so I'm sure I'll find the answers in there. ![]() Off to work!! Mood: Cold it's 63* in my house...Watching: Gurren Lagann Kamina![]() Listening: An awesome video of a few Japanese dancers dancing to Nine Inch Nails "God Given" song. Eating: ;_; I forgot to eat breakfast! *runs to grab some Total cereal* #071 // 07.31.08 I went to a Nine Inch Nails concert in Seattle with Aaron and his mom last weekend!! OMG! IT WAS SO GOOD! So good! The band did awesome and Trent was so cool. He has total control of his voice now so he sang even more powerfully than ever. *swoon* (He's totally hot by the way. ) Here are some PSP wallpapers made with some images from our concert:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NIN puts a ton of work into their concerts. As you can see in each of the pictures, the background is different in each one! There was a huge line up of lights in the back creating a wall (like in the last picture), then there were three separate screens that lit up or had images projected onto it. There's a video that shows off the stage very well, the audio isn't great but it's still worth watching. The set list was THIRTY songs long! How cool is that?! The concert ended up being over two hours long! It is tied for the best concert EVER with the first NIN concert I went two a couple of years ago. *SO GOOD!* I have started knitting again. Well actually, crocheting. I picked up a couple knitting/crocheting books in Seattle's International District last weekend. One is a book to make hats/beanies/etc, and the other one is to make slippers/blankets/etc. Oh, and I also picked up another book to make more kitchen and bathroom scrubbies. I didn't notice it, but the ones in this book are a bit more challenging to make than the scrubbies in my other two books. It shouldn't be a problem, I just need to focus while making them, which is something I haven't done so far- lol. I remember now why I stopped crocheting while watching anime... I can't focus on both at the same time! ![]() Time to get going... I'm at work (of course!!) Mood: fantastic ![]() ![]() ![]()
Listening: Nine Inch Nails - The SlipWatching: Our concert #070 // 07.17.08 Man! What a long six days it has been! Despite it being long, jam-packed, HOT and [unfortunately] expensive, it was an alright weekend. I didn't get to play games and play on my computer as much as I wanted, but some friends were getting married, so I gave up my free-time for them. [You should feel LOVED! lol!]This time away from my computer has been good because I have all new inspiration for my PSP wallpapers. For a bit there I was having a minor creative block. Sitting down at my computer last night and finding some new pictures for inspiration was just what I needed! *YAY!* Here are my newest PSP Wallpapers (which I am so-very-very happy with!![]() ![]() ![]() This may not interest many people out there, but The Who played at E3 this weekend. I am so sad ( ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ) I was not there. *sniffles* This was The Who's second performance in the USA in quite a while! How cool is that?! I want to go see The Who!!! Those lucky bastards who got to go.... *shakes fists* ![]() Almost time to go home! We're having hamburgers and hot dogs at the In-law's tonight. I'm thinking about stopping by the store on the way over there to pick up an avocado and some guacamole mix to top my hot dog with. It's sounds weird, but guacamole on grilled hot dogs is the best! Especially if you mix tomatos in it!!! *YUMMMY!* Alrighty! Time to get going! Later! Mood: Great!!Watching: Aaron play Resistance: Fall of Man (well actually, that's what I was watching last night, but it was super cool!!) Listening: The Who "Quadrophenia" |
